Competition Regulations

Individual Categories:

• Girls 4 years old or under
• Boys 4 years old or under
• Girls 5 years old
• Boys 5 years old
• Girls 6 years old
• Boys 6 years old
• Girls 7 years old
• Boys 7 years old
• Girls 8 years old
• Boys 8 years old

Team Categories:

• Girls 6 years old or under
• Boys 6 years old or under
• Mixed 6 years old or under
• Girls 7 to 8 years old
• Boys 7 to 8 years old
• Mixed 7 to 8 years old

Event Grouping:

Participants are grouped by age, with age determined as of the competition day (June 28, 2026). Participants may compete in higher age groups.

Competition Rules:

• Participants must collect their participation pass upon arrival and present it when checking in at the assembly area.
• All events are assigned lanes and starting order randomly. There are no preliminary/final rounds for any event; rankings are determined by the best time.
• Participants in all categories may choose to start from in the water or from the starting block. All races will use a one-start rule. If a participant commits a foul, they will be disqualified after the race is completed.
• If an unstarted event on the competition day is cancelled due to force majeure, the full registration fee will be refunded, or participants may be merged into other categories. No refunds will be issued for merged categories.
• Participants must present their participation pass upon check-in and when collecting medals. Please keep it safe. A $50 handling fee will be charged for reissuance if lost.
• If a participant fails to present their participation pass during the competition, a $50 handling fee will be charged for reissuance.

Except as stipulated in these Seed Cup competition regulations and these guidelines, other terms will be implemented with reference to the rules of the Hong Kong China Swimming Association (excluding swimwear specifications).

Team Relay Race:

• Each team is limited to 4 people (4 males or 4 females or 2 males and 2 females). Athletes can freely form their participating teams.
• During relay races, participants are not allowed to use buoyancy aids.
• Team event points are not calculated in individual event scores.

Referee's Decision:

No appeals will be accepted on the day of the competition. All results will be based on the final decision of the Hong Kong China Swimming Association referee on that day, and participants shall not raise any objections.

Lane Safety:

Each lane is equipped with licensed and qualified local lifeguards, timekeepers, and lane officials to ensure competition safety as the top priority.

Parent Appeals:

For any appeals regarding race times on the competition day, please provide the reason for the appeal and supporting evidence via the registration email to: info@seedino.com.

Awards:

• Individual certificate content includes: individual photo (provided by the participant), time result (minutes:seconds.milliseconds), overall ranking.
• Individual events will have champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, and third runner-up awards, with each winner receiving one medal.
• Each age group will have an overall champion, who will receive one trophy.
  
• The champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, and third runner-up of the overall championship will each receive a competition version SEEDINO quick-drying towel.
• Team relay events will have champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, and third runner-up medals, and each will receive one trophy.

Competition Certificate:

• The electronic version of the certificate will be sent to the registered email address within 30 days after the competition day.
• Participants who choose a physical certificate can email info@seedino.com within three days after the competition day to notify us.
• All medals and trophies will be awarded on the day of the competition.

Scoring Method:

Individual Events:

• First place: 9 points
• Second place: 7 points
• Third place: 6 points
• Fourth place: 5 points
• Fifth place: 4 points
• Sixth place: 3 points
• Seventh place: 2 points
• Eighth place: 1 point

Relay Events:

• First place: 9 points
• Second place: 7 points
• Third place: 6 points
• Fourth place: 5 points
• Fifth place: 4 points
• Sixth place: 3 points
• Seventh place: 2 points
• Eighth place: 1 point

Results Announcement:

Overall Champion:

• There will be one overall champion for each age group.
• The overall champion is determined by the sum of points obtained from all events participated in on the day.

Filming Arrangements:

An official film crew will be on site to film each race (including drone footage). Post-competition footage will be released on the official YouTube channel: SEEDINO YouTube.

Bad Weather Arrangements:

If, after the start of the competition on the day, some events are cancelled due to severe weather, participants cannot apply for a refund. If the Hong Kong Observatory issues a Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above or a Black Rainstorm Warning Signal at 7:00 AM, the day's events will be cancelled and rescheduled. Rescheduled events will be announced depending on venue availability.

Notes:

• No warm-up or trial swims will be provided on the competition day.
• Spectators/parents are strictly prohibited from making noise within the swimming pool competition area. You may watch and support the events kindly, provided it does not affect the participants.
• Participants must bring the participation pass issued by the event organizer to check in at the assembly area. If unable to present the participation pass or if the information does not match the registration form, participation will be denied and considered a forfeit. No refunds of the registration fee will be given, and participants may not object.
• If a participant is late when an event has already started, and all lanes for that event have completed the race, the participant will be considered absent and forfeited, with no make-up.
• Participants must comply with all official rules of the event organizer, school, and swimming pool.
• If a participant has any skin disease symptoms on the day of the competition and cannot provide a doctor's certificate, the event organizer reserves the right to cancel their participation.
• If a participant is found to have intentionally cheated or violated the rules, their competition results and qualifications will be revoked.

The organizer reserves the right to amend these regulations at any time without prior notice if there are any imperfections. Please pay attention to official announcements.
