Competition Regulations 

Individual Categories:

• Girls 4 years old and under
• Boys 4 years old and under
• Girls 5 years old
• Boys 5 years old
• Girls 6 years old
• Boys 6 years old
• Girls 7 years old
• Boys 7 years old
• Girls 8 years old
• Boys 8 years old

Team Categories:

• Girls 6 years old and under
• Boys 6 years old and under
• Mixed 6 years old and under
• Girls 7 to 8 years old
• Boys 7 to 8 years old
• Mixed 7 to 8 years old

Competition Grouping:

Participants will be grouped byage. Age is determined as of the competition day (2026.6.28), and participants may compete in higher age groups.

Competition Rules:

• Participants must collect their participation certificate upon arrival and present it for check-in at the assembly area.
• All events will have participants randomly assigned to lanes. There will be no preliminary/final rounds for any event; rankings will be determined by the best time.
• Participants in all categories may choose to start in the water or from the starting block. All races will adopt a one-start rule. If a participant commits a foul, they will be disqualified after the race.
• If an unstarted event is cancelled due to force majeure on the competition day, the registration fee paid can be fully refunded, or the participant may be merged into another category, but the registration fee will not be refunded.
• Participants must present their participation certificate when checking in and collecting their medal. Please keep it safe. A $50 handling fee will be charged for reissuance if lost.
• If a participant fails to present their participation certificate during the competition, a $50 handling fee will be charged for reissuance.

Except as stated in these Seedino Cup competition regulations and this notice, other terms will follow the rules of the Hong Kong China Swimming Association (excluding swimsuit specifications).

Team Relay:

• Each team is limited to 4 members (4 boys or 4 girls or 2 boys and 2 girls). Athletes can freely form their competition teams.
• During the relay race, participants are not allowed to use buoyancy aids.
• Team event scores are not counted towards individual event scores.

Referee's Decision:

There will be no appeals on the competition day. All results will be subject to the final decision of the Hong Kong China Swimming Association referees on the day, and participants may not object.

Lane Safety:

Each lane is equipped with licensed and compliant local lifeguards, timekeepers, and lane officials, ensuring competition safety as the top priority.

Parental Appeals:

For any appeals regarding race times on the competition day, please provide the reason for appeal and supporting evidence via your registration email to: info@seedino.com.

Awards:

• Individual certificate content includes: individual photo (provided by participant), time record ( minutes:seconds.milliseconds), overall ranking
• Individual events will have champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, and third runner-up awards, each receiving a medal.
• Each age group will have an overall champion, each receiving a trophy.
  
• The champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, and third runner-up of the overall championship will each receive a competition version SEEDINO quick-dry towel.
• Team relay events will have champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, andthird runner-up medals, each receiving a trophy.

Competition Certificates:

• Electronic versions of certificates will be sent to the registration email within 30 days after the competition day.
• Participants who choose physical certificates can email info@seedino.com to notify us within three days after the competition day.
• All medals andtrophies will be awarded on the competition day.

Individual Events:

• 1st Place: 9 points
• 2nd Place: 7 points
• 3rd Place: 6 points
• 4th Place: 5 points
• 5th Place: 4 points
• 6th Place: 3 points
• 7th Place: 2 points
• 8th Place: 1 point

Relay Events:

• 1st Place: 9 points
• 2nd Place: 7 points
• 3rd Place: 6 points
• 4th Place: 5 points
• 5th Place: 4 points
• 6th Place: 3 points
• 7th Place: 2 points
• 8th Place: 1 point

Results Announcement:

• Post-competition results will be published on the official website here
  

Overall Champion:

• There will be one overall champion for each age group.
• The overall champion is determined by the sum of points obtained from all participating events on the day.

Photography Arrangements:

The official team will have photographers to capture each race (including aerial photography). Race footage will be published on the official YouTube channel after the competition: SEEDINO YouTube.

Bad Weather Arrangements:

If, after the competition begins on the event day, some events are cancelled due to adverse weather, participants cannot apply for a refund. If the Hong Kong Observatory issues a Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above or a Black Rainstorm Warning Signal at 7:00 AM, the day's competition will be cancelled and rescheduled. Notification for rescheduled events will depend on venue availability.

Important Notes:

• No warm-up or trial swimming will be allowed on the competition day.
• Spectators/parents are strictly prohibited from making noise in the competition area of the swimming pool. They may observe and support the event in a friendly manner without disturbing participants.
• Participants must bring the participation certificate issued by the organizing committee to check in at the assembly area. If they cannot present the certificate or if the information does not match the registration form, they will not be allowed to compete and will be considered to have forfeited. The registration fee will not be refunded, and participants may not object.
• If a participant is late when an event is starting, and all lanes have completed the race for that event, the participant will be considered absent and forfeited, with no make-up race.
• Participants must comply with all official rules of the organizing committee, school, and swimming pool.
• If a participant shows symptoms of any skin disease on the competition day and cannot present a doctor's certificate, the organizing committee reserves the right to cancel their qualification.
• If participants are found to deliberately cheat or violate rules, their competition results and qualifications will be cancelled.

The organizing committee reserves the right to amend these regulations at any time without prior notice if there are any inadequacies. Please pay attention to official announcements.
